The River of Five Colors.
In Colombia, Rio Cano Castales, or the ‘ river of five colors ’ , is a special place where for a brief period of time every year when the conditions are just right , the river explodes with vibrant colors your eyes won’t believe. During the short span between the wet and dry season, when the water level is just right , a unique species of plant that lines the river floor called Macarenia clavigera turns a brilliant red. It is offset by splotches of yellow and green sand , blue water , and countless shades in between.

There is a reason why some people are more successful than others. Actually, there are many reasons, but I’m convinced that one of them is this: people don’t want to do hard things, as a general rule, so the few that are willing or able or unafraid to endure a bit of hardship are the ones who are going to come out looking like they accomplished something. Respect, money and even fame are most likely going to follow to some degree.
Take Bear Grylls for example. You don’t want to eat nasty insects and drink your own urine for the enjoyment of millions of viewers. You probably wouldn’t even want to go through the special forces training he had to endure before he ever made it on TV. But he did it and look what it got him.
Do you see what I mean? You’ve got to be willing to do something other people aren’t in order to get ahead. This could take many forms. The classic example is being an entrepreneur and trading in the safety of a steady job for the uncertainty of fledgling a new company that may or may not make it in the end. It may look like taking more initiative with your boss or learning how to speak up. It could look like starting a blog that nobody reads for 6 months but being sticking with it till it finds an audience. Patience, persistence, the ability to envision the future, optimism and a higher pain tolerance are all hallmarks of successful people.
Many people have given up on doing something respectable to gain attention and they do something terrible that nobody else is willing to do (like give up their dignity by dressing skimpy to sell music). Some people aren’t willing to trample others underfoot to climb to the top. Either way, doing something that hurts you or someone else is not the way to go.
If you are tired of the same old routine in your life or if you have big dreams you want to accomplish, you can’t be afraid to give up a bit of comfort for the short term in order to gain something better for yourself in the long term. It’s not for everybody… that’s why some people are more successful than others.

Liaohe River Delta contains a very unique piece of landscape, the Red Beach . Not far from Panjin City, China lies a beach that during the summer months looks like any other beach . Beautiful waters and a bit of green sea weed.
Than as the seasons change so does the sea weed . The green sea weed that blankets the entire beach turns red like fire in the autumn. Hence the reason it is called the Red Beach . Most of the beach is a nature reserve, there is however a small portion open to tourists to observe the amazing color and birds that thrive near it.

Crocodile Had Been Shot In The Eye.
Deep in the Costa Rican jungle , a fisherman named Chito discovered a crocodile that had been shot in the eye by a cattle farmer and left for dead . Chito was able to drag the massive reptile into his boat and brought him to his home , where he stayed by his side for months , nursing him back to health .He named the croc Pocho. I stayed by Pocho’s side while he was ill , sleeping next to him at night . I just wanted him to feel that somebody loved him , that not all humans are bad .” said Chito , “ It meant a lot of sacrifice. I had to be there every day . I love all animals especially ones that have suffered.The day finally came when Pocho was strong enough to go back into the wild . Chito took him to a lake near his house and released him , but the animal simply got back out of the water and followed him home .“ Then I found out that when I called his name he would come over to me . ” says Chito . The fisherman has been hesitant to tell his story, even though 20 years have passed since he first rescued Pocho .Pocho is roughly 5.18 meters (17 feet) long. He and Chito play , wrestle and hug on a daily basis . That bond , Chito said , took years to forge.

The common caddisfly is a moth-like insect, found near lakes, streams, ponds and rivers, and often used as a bait for trout fishermen. Caddisfly larvae are aquatic and spin protective silk cases which incorporate bits of material from their surroundings, such as gravel, twigs or small pieces of shell. In this remarkable work, simply entitled Caddis, French artist Hubert Duprat (b.1957) has collaborated with caddis larvae by gently placing them in an environment full of gold, pearls and semi- precious stones. The caddis then spin these materials into their casings to produce breathtaking jewel encrusted
covers.
At once a clever scientific experiment (which Duprat actually patented in the 1980s) and imaginative artistic gesture, Duprat teases out the sublimely beautiful potential of a common and rather dull- looking insect. Although he gives much of the credit to the larvae, I think his creative intervention into nature is the product of a truly beautiful imagination.

What an amazing event to witness. :) The Common Golden eye (Bucephala clangula) is a medium-sized sea duck. Adult males ranges from 45–52 cm (18–21 inches) and from 888 to 1400 grams (1.9 to 3.1 lbs), while females range from 40– 50 cm (16–20 inches) and from 500 to 1182 grams (1.1 to 2.6 lbs). The species is aptly named for its golden-yellow eye.
A man donated blood 1,000 times.
After needing 13 liters blood for a surgery at the age of 13 , a man named James Harrison pledged to donate blood once he turned 18 . It was discovered that blood contained a rare antigen which cured Rhesus disease . He has donated a blood record 1,000 times and saved 2,000,000 lives.
Dog Saved A Newborn Abandoned.
A Little Dog named Pui found a newborn baby in a plastic bag at the roadside garbage. The dog did not ignore the baby and continue his foraging or whatever he was doing at the local dump. Pui is known around town for his wanderings. Instead, Pui took the baby home, carrying the plastic bag in his teeth, according to the Bangkok Post. Once home, Pui began barking. Everybody ignored him, as often happens when dogs bark. So Pui continued his barking. Finally girl age 12, came out to the patio to see what all the fuss was about. The girl rushed to get her parents, who rushed the baby to the hospital , where she was given oxygen and treated. As for Pui, he's been duly feted. The district's Red Cross chapter issued Pui a medal and a new leather collar. It also presented him with a certificate praising Pui's "well-raised" and "courageous" manner. And the Miracle of Life Foundation in the district gave the family money to help feed their three dogs.

The Dog Hero
Dogs are very Loyal Creatures. They accompany their owners, give them enjoyment of their presence and at times even risk their lives for those who care for them. Kabang , a family dog from Philippines, saved two children from being hit by a speedy motorcycle. Kabang sacrificed herself , blocking the route of motorcycle. As a result , she was badly injured, losing a part of her face and jaw. Local Vets said that the family could leave the dog in their hands for Euthanasia. The family refused and took care of the injured animal themselves.
After the story spread round the world, the public donated US $20,000 for operations that could repair injured Kabang. That proves Dogs are humans' best friends.

Mantua, Italy, are believed by archaeologists to be a man and a woman
from the Neolithic period, buried around 6,000 years ago. For 6,000 years, two young lovers have been locked in an eternal embrace, hidden from the eyes of the world. This past weekend, the
Lovers of Valdaro named for the little village near Mantua, in
northern Italy, where they were first discovered were seen by the
public for the first time.
After the discovery, many thought that the couple had been killed. It would fit in well with the history of an Italian region famous for many tragic love stories. Mantua is the city where Romeo was exiled and was
told that his Juliet was dead. The composer Giuseppe Verdi chose it as
the location for his opera Rigoletto , another story of star-crossed
love and death.
But subsequent research revealed that the skeletons did not have any signs of a violent death. They were a woman and a man, ages between 18
and 20 years old. Some have wondered if they died together, holding each
other in a freezing night. Professor Silvia Bagnoli, the president of
the association Lovers in Mantua, doesn't exclude this possibility, but
she says that more likely the skeletons were laid out in that position after their deaths.
The mystery might never be solved. Still, many want to see the
couple. The association Lovers in Mantua is campaigning for their right
to have a room of their own. According to Bagnoli, €250,000 will be
enough for an exhibition center and another €200,000 could pay for a
multimedia space to tell the world the mysterious story of these
prehistoric lovers.

Dolphins Help Save Dog from Drowning
On Marco Island, Florida a group of dolphins came to the aid of a lost Doberman that had fallen into a canal and couldn't get out. The dolphins made so much noise, it attracted the attention of people living nearby, who then rescued the dog. The Doberman was believed to have spent 15 hours in the canal water before he was pulled out by fire personnel and reunited with his owner.
One of the people whose attention was captured by the noisy, demonstrative dolphins said, "They were really putting up a ruckus, almost beaching themselves on the sandbar over there. If it wasn't for the dolphin, I would have never seen the dog.” (Source: ABC7news) He said also if the dolphins hadn't persisted enough to get their attention, they dog would have died in the canal. The dog had fallen over the edge of a concrete wall down into the water far enough that it had no chance of getting back up by itself. The dog was exhausted from being in the cold water for hours, and most likely suffering from hypothermia.
Dolphins have been known to sometimes help stranded or injured people as well. In 2007, a pod of dolphins formed a ring around a surfer who was injured and bleeding after being bitten by a Great White shark. The surfer survived because they prevented further bites. No one knows exactly why dolphins have intervened in such emergency situations, and helped save the lives of other species. Suffice to say they are capable of empathy and heroic actions.

For the past 6 years, a Dog called Capitán has slept next to the grave of his owner every night at 6pm.His owner, Miguel Guzmán died in 2006.Capitán, the dog, disappeared while the family attended the funeral services. A week later relatives of Guzmán were visiting the cemetery when they were astounded to find the dog next to the owner's grave.The cemetery director says that the dog comes around each night at 6pm, and has done so for the past 6 years!
